HealyNG ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our telemedicine platform and services.
2. Information We Collect
Personal Information
We collect information that you provide directly to us, including name, email address, phone number, date of birth, medical history, insurance information, and payment details.
Health Information
As a healthcare platform, we collect health information including medical records, consultation notes, prescriptions, and vital signs. We treat this data as sensitive under NDPR.
Technical Information
We automatically collect certain information when you use our services, including IP address, browser type, device information, and usage patterns.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve our telemedicine services
- To facilitate consultations between patients and healthcare providers
- To process payments and manage billing
- To send appointment reminders and important health information
- To comply with legal obligations and healthcare regulations (including NDPR)
- To protect the security and integrity of our platform
4. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal or health information. We may share information only when:
- With healthcare providers involved in your care
- With your explicit consent

- To protect the rights, property, or safety of HealyNG, our users, or others

- NDPR-aligned infrastructure (not HIPAA certified)
6. Your Rights

- Request corrections to inaccurate information
- Request deletion (subject to legal and medical record retention requirements)
- Opt-out of certain communications, including WhatsApp Care (reply STOP)
- Request restrictions on how we use or disclose your information
7. WhatsApp Care
Some clinics offer care on their own WhatsApp Business number (included on every HealyNG package with appointment credits). If you message that number, HealyNG routes the chat to that clinic and may identify you by your WhatsApp phone number, create or link a patient record, and use the conversation to book visits, send reminders, share payment links, prescriptions, records, and consult join links.
Meta (WhatsApp) carries the messages. Paystack or Flutterwave process payment when you open a checkout link — we do not ask for card numbers in the chat. This is not an emergency service.
Reply STOP on that chat to opt out of WhatsApp Care for that clinic. Email reminders may continue if the clinic uses that channel. Chat logs are kept for up to 24 months unless the clinic copies clinical facts into your medical record (those follow medical-record retention). HealyNG is NDPR-aligned and is not HIPAA certified.
